The world of high-end bikes welcomes an unprecedented touch of innovation and luxury with the launch of the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R. Much more than just a bike, it embodies the union of custom craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. The best part? It's also fully customizable and features 3D printed parts. What's more, the .1R frame is shaped in the same workshops as Aston Martin's iconic cars, with shapes shaped by expert model makers using advanced computer programs to create three-dimensional designs.

Indeed, the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R is more than just a collector's item; it's for discerning cyclists looking for performance and comfort. Every element of this bike is designed to provide an enjoyable riding experience. The goal is to create a frame that combines lightness, stiffness and comfort to meet the highest expectations.

The Aston Martin .1R bike

To be more specific, the frame of the .1R is handcrafted from a combination of titanium lugs and carbon fiber tubing using techniques inspired by the world of Formula 1 cars. 6AI/4V aerospace grade titanium caps featuring the ratio of strength to weight, are produced by 3D printing with meticulous precision in 30-micron layers. The bike also features integrated brake calipers. Each caliper is machined from a high strength aluminum block featuring four titanium pistons for great control and modulation.

Marek Reicman, executive vice president and chief creative officer at Aston Martin, further explained: “The J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R is essentially a titanium hypercar on two wheels. Simple/Smart is how we've fused engineering excellence throughout the bike with the purity of performance design to deliver an intuitively exhilarating riding experience. The result is a distinctive shape, born of tradition and technology and handcrafted using only the most advanced materials, befitting the pedigree and forward-thinking nature of our two iconic British companies.”

A highly customizable 3D printed bike from Aston Martin

One of the most unique aspects of the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R is its high level of customization. While customization is nothing new in the world of bikes, this two-wheeler goes a step further by offering a custom-stitched handlebar and seat. The Sphyr handle is 3D printed with titanium, adapted to each owner's measurements. This approach makes it possible to customize the span and width specifications with great precision.

The .1R is also distinguished by its commitment to custom design and manufacture of every component of the bike, tailored to the needs of each individual cyclist. This approach results in the creation of an elegant bike. Luxury options are available, such as hand-stitched leather covers for the steering wheel and seat. Carbon pedals fitted with 3D printed titanium tips offer length customization with meticulous precision, ensuring a perfect fit.

Oliver Laverack, co-founder of J.Laverack Bicycles, concludes: “Working with the Aston Martin team has unlocked new ideas and innovations, the application of which has created a bike that is more advanced than anything currently on the market. Working in collaboration with Aston Martin, we have not only taken our titanium bikes to new heights, but also unlocked a true innovation in the cycling industry, creating a bike with unparalleled levels of craftsmanship and performance engineering.”
