PETG is a variant of PET, which is combined with glycol to achieve a number of desired effects in 3D printing, such as high transparency. In addition, PETG 3D printing materials can be printed at lower temperatures while increasing the flow rate (up to 100 mm / s), which in turn translates into faster prints. PETG components are weather resistant and are therefore often used for garden appliances. Another point of sale is its use as a safe material for food 3D printing.
