Artec Point is the first target-based 3D laser scanner from Artec, offering ISO-certified metrology-grade accuracy and three different scanning modes for professional industrial applications.
Artec Point revolutionises metrology 3D scanning by offering ISO & VDI/VDE-certified accuracy in a compact handheld design. As the first target-based laser scanner from Artec, it brings professional metrology capabilities directly to the workplace.
Weighing only 570 grams and with an ergonomic metal housing, Point can be used one-handed for long periods without fatigue, while delivering exceptional accuracy and reliability.
Grid mode: Uses 17×17 crossed lasers to capture large objects quickly while keeping the polygon count to a minimum for easy data management.
Parallel mode: Uses 7 parallel lasers to digitise complex surfaces at high resolution and capture fine details such as engraved features.
Single laser: Scans with a single laser to reach hard-to-access areas and capture data exactly where it is needed - even in deep grooves or holes.
With speeds of up to 2.8 million points per second and capture at up to 120 FPS, Point scans quickly and accurately, even on moving objects, with full tracking lock.
Point effectively captures complex surfaces, including those with black or reflective finishes. Artec Studio includes dedicated settings for dark or glossy surfaces, adapting the capture algorithm to these challenging scenarios.
The zoom function lets you inspect surfaces up to 8 times closer for complete scan coverage, capturing small details that may not be visible at first glance.
Designed for the automotive, aerospace, manufacturing and energy industries, Point excels in quality control, reverse engineering and inspection applications that require metrology-grade precision.
